The clients brief for this project was to provide a large family orientated space which connected the existing lounge and dining room, make the ground floor layout flow better with additional storage, and to create a home chiropractors clinic for the client to work from. As the house was North facing it was important to create as much light as possible too within a sensible budget.

The client brief for this project was to extend the kitchen with a small lean-to extension and get more light in the dark rear facing rooms. We designed a wider extension and removed the wall dividing the kitchen & dining room to create a large open plan kitchen diner with a garden room seating area. We achieved a lot more than the client had hoped for on this project and they were really happy with the result.

The client originally wanted a single storey lean-to extension and a loft conversion to create an additional bedroom. We advised that a two storey extension would be much more cost effective option. We prepared some concept drawings for both schemes as they were unsure of what they wanted. The client was amazed at what could be achieved with the two storey extension and went for that option. It gave them more than they hoped for with a much smaller budget and vastly improved the aesthetics of the rear of their property.
